WHAT WE BELIEVE....

    1.  In the verbal inspiration of the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments.

(Ex. 31:18)  And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.  (These words were to be passed from one generation to another.)

(Ex. Chapter 19-31)  God speaks to Moses on Mt. Sinai and instructs him in the Law and the building of the Tabernacle.

The Lord spoke personally to the prophets:

(2Sa 23:2)  The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

(Jer. 1:9)  Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth.  And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

(Eze. 3:4)  And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

(2Pet. 1:20-21)  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

(2Tim. 3:16)  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(Luke 1:70)  As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

(Heb. 1:1-2)  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken.

Jesus confirmed the whole Old Testament and is the subject of the New Testament.

We are warned in the beginning, middle, and end of the scriptures against adding or taking anything away from the Word of God.

2.  OUR GOD IS A TRINITY IN UNITY, MANIFESTED IN THREE PERSONS: THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST.

(Gen. 1:26)  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

(Gen 3:22)  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.

(Gen 11:7)  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

(Luke 24:27)  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures concerning himself.  (Jesus - On the road to Emmaus.)

(John 14:26)  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

(Isa. 7:14)  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.  (Jesus' birth prophesied by Isaiah)

(Mat. 1:18-25)  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:  When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.  But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name  JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.  Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

(Heb. 4:15)  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

(1John 3:5)  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Some of the many miracles performed by Jesus include:

Turning water into win (John 2:7-9)

Jesus heals the nobleman's son (John 4:50)

Jairus' daughter returned to life by Jesus (Mat. 9:25)

Jesus feeds 5000 men (Mat. 14:19-20)

Jesus walks on water (Mat. 14:25)

Jesus feeds 4000 men (Mat. 15:36-38)

Jesus returns Lazarus to life (John 11:43-44)

Woman healed of bleeding (Mat. 9:20-22)

Calms the storm (Mat. 8:26)

(Mat. 27:27-66)  Crucifixion, death, and burial of Jesus.

(1Pet. 1:18:20)  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

(Gal. 4:4-7)  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

(Heb. 9:22-23)  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

(Luke 24:1-3)  Now upon the first [day] of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain [others] with them.  And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.  And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

(Mark 14:28)  But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

(Acts 1:9-11)  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

(Heb. 9:24)  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

3.  THAT REGENERATION BY THE HOLY GHOST FOR THE SALVATION OF LOST AND SINFUL MAN, THROUGH FAITH IN THE SHED BLOOD OF CHRIST, IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL.

(Heb 9:12-14)  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

(Acts 4:12)  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

(John 3:3-6)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

        (Tit. 3:5)  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

4.  IN A LIFE OF HOLINESS, WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN CAN SEE THE LORD, THROUGH SANCTIFICATION AS A DEFINITE, YET PROGRESSIVE, WORK OF GRACE.

(Rom. 12:1-2)  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

(2Cor. 7:1)  Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

(Heb. 10:10)  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

(1Ths. 5:23)  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(1Pet 1:15-16)  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

5.  IN THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST, RECEIVED SUBSEQUENT TO THE NEW BIRTH, WITH THE SPEAKING IN TONGUES, AS THE SPIRIT GIVES UTTERANCE, AS THE INITIAL PHYSICAL SIGN.

(Luke 3:16)  John answered , saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

(Acts 1:8)  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

(Acts 2:1-4)  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

(Acts 2:38-39)  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

(Acts 10:46) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.

6.  IN WATER BAPTISM BY IMMERSION FOR BELIEVERS ONLY, WHICH IS A DIRECT COMMANDMENT OF OUR LORD, IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST.

(Rom. 6:4)  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

(Col. 2:12)  Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

(Mat. 28:19)  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

(John 3:23)  And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

(Mat. 3:16)  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

7.  IN THE LORD'S SUPPER AND WASHING OF THE SAINTS' FEET.

(1Cor. 11:23-26)  For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood:  this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.  For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

(1Cor. 10:16)  The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?  The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

(John 13:5)  After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he as girded.

(John 13:12-16)  So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?  Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.  If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

8.  THAT DIVINE HEALING IS PROVIDED FOR IN THE ATONEMENT, AND IS AVAILABLE TO ALL WHO TRULY BELIEVE.

(Isa. 53:4-6)  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

(1Pet. 2:24)  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

(Jam. 5:15)  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

(Mark 9:23)  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

9.  IN THE PRE-MILLENNIAL SECOND COMING OF JESUS: FIRST, TO RESURRECT THE RIGHTEOUS DEAD AND TO CATCH AWAY THE LIVING SAINTS TO MEET HIM IN THE AIR; AND, SECOND, TO REIGN ON THE EARTH FOR A THOUSAND YEARS.

        (Tit. 2:13)  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

(John 14:3)  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come agian, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

(1Th. 4:16-17)  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

(Rev. 20:2-4)  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

10.  IN THE BODILY RESURRECTION OF BOTH THE SAVED AND THE LOST: THAT THEY ARE SAVED UNTO THE RESURRECTION OF LIFE, AND THAT THEY ARE LOST TO THE RESURRECTION OF DAMNATION.

(1Cor. 15:42-44)  So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

(John 5:28-29)  Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

(Rev. 20:5)  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.  This is the first resurrection.

(Rev. 20:11-15)  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.  And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
